The end of a day is not one moment. It is a sequence of small ones, most of them done half attending: a light turned off, a window opened, a bed turned down.
The mist belongs to that sequence. It is the lightest preparation the estate makes.
The composition. Lavender grown on a Registered Organic Estate in the wine region of Paso Robles, steam distilled in a copper alembic pot still. The vessel is aluminum, which admits no light.
The art of application. Mist above the bed rather than at it, and let it fall. Two passes are enough. Over sheets as they are turned down, over a pillowcase an hour before it is wanted, over a shirt left on its hanger. It belongs equally in a closet, a car, a room that has been shut up, and in the water of a steam iron.
Then attend to the second minute rather than the first. The top of it goes quickly and green. What stays is lower and rounder, and that is the part that holds a room.
The keeping of it. Kept out of direct sun and away from a warm windowsill.

Our aluminium tins and bottles are recyclable, so separate the lid or cap first. Bottles and jars may be recycled. Labels, pumps, pipettes, and caps go in the waste bin. Pumps and pipettes are also lovely to reuse.
